The Evolution of the WinSet Punch Press

With modern day technology evolving at breakneck speed, it’s often tempting for businesses to look forward without remembering that there are plenty of inventions that continue to be of great service, even though they may have first been created long ago.

Dr. Peter Sterionow, President and CEO of Winset Technologies, realized the extended potential of the Lourdes Systems, initially developed in 1976. That’s why in 2022 he purchased the company along with all of its intellectual property rights, further elevating re-branding efforts by an in-house team in 2001. He and the organization are continuing the long standing history of designing, developing and manufacturing High Velocity Electromagnetic Punch Presses and are following in the tradition of announcing major milestones, similar to the various patents there were announced in the mid 70’s (the original electric punch press), the early 1990’s (high velocity electromagnetic punch press) and 2005 (the addition of a constant energy feature).

WinSet is essentially taking the concept of the punch press and constantly refining it for its clients by capitalizing on various networks and making it a point to collaborate with specialized research groups whose focus is on the high-velocity impact production process. Additionally, this provides access to some of the brightest minds in the business, information and correlating data.

Today, WinSet Technologies remains firmly committed to the continuous evolution and enhancement of the WinSet Press, and are aggressively developing even more cutting edge technology to service its clients who are certainly navigating a tricky road to success in uncertain times.
